Overview

Why it exists

LogicMonitor customers automate their portals: onboarding devices, managing alerts, making bulk changes. Doing that against the raw REST API means handling authentication, paging and retries in every script. The module does that once, so a script is a few cmdlets.

What it does

  • Cmdlets for devices, dashboards, alerts, users and the rest of the portal, with PowerShell-style filtering.
  • Credential caching through Microsoft's SecretManagement module.
  • Import and manage LogicModules as JSON or XML, with conflict handling.
  • Call any API endpoint directly with authentication and retries handled; EdwinAI cmdlets for event ingestion, SDTs and record queries.

Outcomes

  • 3M+ installs from the PowerShell Gallery.
  • 20% of all external LogicMonitor API traffic: 23M+ requests a month.
  • The most widely adopted community integration in the LogicMonitor ecosystem.
